Action Oriented Youth of Liberia provides academic scholarships to help low-income families across the country to continue their education at both public and private institutions as well as the costs for transportation, among other education costs. Beyond financial support, AOYOL scholars and their peers have access to a variety of support services, including tutoring, academic career orientation, and counseling.
In addition to our education program, we also provide youth with a dynamic summer camp workshops each year, for 9th-12th grade students between the ages of 13-21 years old at the end of December each year. We try to create a safe space for our campers to engage with each other by developing skills that they will use in the long and short term to give back to their various communities through Art, Media, Communications, Sports, and Graphic design. We believe that an empowered and engaged young people are the key to building a healthier and more resilient society.
