Action Oriented Youth of Liberia is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded on July 12, 2017, by Wonsehlea Teah, out of her passion for making a difference in Liberia. The whole vision started after a few years of her volunteering with local and international charity organizations in the United States that were youth development mission-driven. Ms. Teah realizes that she could do the same thing for the underserved youth population in her own country Liberia. With Ms. Teah’s knowledge about the challenges, the youth population was facing in Liberia after the civil war crisis and the ebola epidemic that murdered thousands of Liberians, which left the youth population lacking the right resources and opportunities to help them achieve success. Ms. Teah decided to start a nonprofit organization where youth will be at the forefront and have a powerful voice, knowledge, and the right resources to inspired positive change in their lives, the lives of communities, and others. So AOYOL is committed to helping the underserved youths population with the right resources to achieve success through our unique programs.
“Our mission is to Empower, Inspire and Challenge Liberians youth in Underserved communities to achieve success through Mentorship, Education, and vocational training programs.”
“Our vision is to become an internationally recognized visionary that puts youth first. Through coordinated programs, unparalleled resources, and scholarships, Action-Oriented Youth of Liberia aims to fuel a new movement that brings the world youth to the forefront of all societies building a foundation for ongoing legacies of success.”
